BARRA MANSA LODGE
Strategically positioned in the heart of the Vazante do Castelo, widely known as an area rich in wildlife and beautiful landscapes, Barra Mansa Lodge is one of the premier places to stay in the Pantanal.
Just 6 rooms with a maximum capacity of 17 people can be found at the lodge, and all are extremely comfortable. Each features air conditioning, hot showers, fans and mosquito screens. The lodge itself has plenty of hammocks for guests to relax in throughout the property, plus a bar, restaurant, WiFi, library, souvenir shop, laundry service and fishing equipment for hire.
Everyday delicious meals are prepared with fresh organic ingredients to create local dishes, many of which are cooked on the wood stove. Barra Mansa Lodge has a peaceful atmosphere in an isolated privileged location, offering a special experience in the Pantanal.
Guests can explore the surrounding region and witness the spectacular wildlife through a variety of tours and activities including horse back safari, walking trails, boat excursions and canoe trips on the Negro River. All are provided on a private basis and allow each guest to explore the lagoons, forests and wetlands in depth.
The transfer to Barra Mansa can be made from Campo Grande, Aquidauana or Bonito, by bimotor plane or by car, as follows:
