A two-week romantic escape combining Zimbabwean wilderness, luxury lodges, and intimate experiences under the stars.
This honeymoon itinerary is a two-week escape through Zimbabwe focussing on crafting special moments under the African sky with plenty of wildlife activities in between. Begin at Ruckomechi Camp in Mana Pools National Park, where classic safari tents and twice-daily game drives set the stage for nights spent under endless stars. Fly to Fothergill on Lake Kariba, enjoying private lodge suites, boat cruises, fishing, archery, and sundowners on the lake’s edge. Continue to Verney’s Camp for luxury tented accommodation and intimate wildlife encounters in pristine bush. Conclude on Kandahar Island at Victoria Falls Island Lodge, staying in Luxury Treehouses with personal butler service, romantic sunrise tours of the Falls, Zambezi River cruises, and evenings under the stars. This itinerary is perfect for couples seeking adventure, serenity and unforgettable moments together.
Stay in romantic Luxury Tents at Ruckomechi and Verney’s Camp under the starry African sky.
Private suite experiences on Lake Kariba at Fothergill with sundowners and boat cruises.
Victoria Falls sunrise tours and guided walks, paired with personal butler service at Victoria Falls Island Lodge.
Stargazing, romantic dinners and safari adventures across Zimbabwe’s most iconic wilderness areas.
This itinerary is best enjoyed during the dry season (May–October), which is for wildlife spotting, easy travel between lodges, and clear skies for stargazing and Victoria Falls views. The wet season (November–April) brings bush landscapes and dramatic Victoria Falls, with excellent birdwatching, but some bush roads may be slippery.
The holiday itinerary that Humboldt put together for us captured everything that we wanted to do while in Zimbabwe with perfect hotel choices and activities that were quite honestly sensational.
