A week-long trip to experience the Great Migration is Kenya featuring stunning accommodation and endless wildlife.
Your trip will start with two nights in the countryside just outside Nairobi at Ololo. Next, you will fly straight into the Maasai Mara where you will spend three nights on safari. Your luxury camp is situated in the heart of the national reserve and is a gorgeous and unpretentiously luxurious spot from which to enjoy the incredible Great Migration. Spend the next couple of days heading out on game drives and enjoying a multitude of activities from bush volleyball to nature walks and night drives. Your lodge is perfectly situated on the path of the Great Migration, allowing you to view one of the world’s premier wildlife experiences. Enjoy a breakfast out in the middle of the bush and sundowners with a view of the plains. You will have the chance to spot a wide variety of wildlife from the Big Five to the Little Five. An important part of the Maasai Mara is the Maasai people themselves. You will have the chance to learn about this tribe, their work, and lives here and their incredible relationship with the land. This is a fabulous, whistlestop tour of two of Kenya’s highlights and one of the world’s most spectacular wildlife events.

Enjoy leisurely bush lunches and the sweeping landscapes of one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations.
The Great Migration typically reaches the Maasai Mara from July to October, when vast herds of wildebeest and zebra cross from the Serengeti in Tanzania. This is the best time to witness river crossings and dramatic predator-prey interactions.
I just returned from Kenya on safari and it was off the charts. Simon was helpful as ever at getting the trip scoped out, nailed it down and finalised. The camps were all of high quality and the logistics impeccably managed.
