Start your trip with a night in Kigali and an introduction to Rwanda’s tragic past with a visit to the Genocide Museum. Next, head off to Akagera National Park to start experiencing the splendours of Rwanda today. Spend 2 nights here and enjoy a boat cruise and a game drive with a chance to spot animals such as hyenas, elephants, various buffalo and lions. Next, head to the Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo surrounded by the Virunga high hills. Spend 2 nights here visiting a local village and spending a day gorilla trekking in Virunga NP. From here, you will cross into Uganda and spend 2 nights in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, visiting local villages and going in search of Golden monkeys. Next, you will visit Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for some gorilla trekking in Uganda. Next head to Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will spend 2 nights and enjoy some game drives in search of wildlife including antelopes, elephants, buffalos, and lions. Spend two nights in Lake Mburo, heading out on more game drives both during the day and the night to give you the best chance of spotting a wide variety of animals. You will finish your trip with three nights in Jinja, the source of the Nile. Here you can take part in some exhilarating activities including white water rafting along the Nile and quad biking.
