A real Patagonian adventure featuring all the highlights of Chile and Argentina's rugged and spectacular south.
This extraordinary journey weaves together the cultural highlights of Chile with the untamed wilderness of Patagonia and the vibrant spirit of Argentina. Beginning in Santiago, you explore the city’s historic landmarks and panoramic viewpoints before travelling south to Torres del Paine National Park for an immersive stay amid soaring peaks, glaciers and turquoise lakes. An expedition cruise through the Strait of Magellan and Tierra del Fuego reveals remote fjords, wildlife-rich shores and iconic Cape Horn, before crossing into Argentina to discover Ushuaia and the glacial landscapes of El Calafate, including the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier. Time in El Chaltén offers a more intimate connection with Patagonia through scenic walks and lodge-based experiences, while the journey concludes in Buenos Aires with city touring and a classic tango evening, bringing this richly varied South American adventure to a stylish close.
Explore the Torres del Paine National Park from the spectacular Tierra Patagonia, with incredible views from your room.
Cruise the Patagonian Fjords on an Australis cruise, with plenty of activities and stops on your way to Ushuaia.
Trek on the Perito Moreno glacier in El Calafate and enjoy other excursions from the remote Pristine Camps Lodge.
Trek through forests and peaks around El Chaltén, with views of Mt. Fitz Roy
Discover Santiago and Buenos Aires, two of South America's most vibrant cities.
The best time to visit is November to March, bringing long days and mild weather ideal for hiking in the Patagonian National Parks. October and April are the quieter shoulder seasons, but can be colder and windier, and some hiking trails may be limited by snow. Most of southern Patagonia is inaccessible or closed (especially Torres del Paine and El Chaltén) for the rest of the year, when the weather is cold and unpredictable.
The holiday Itinerary that they put together for us captured everything that we wanted to do while in Argentina with nice hotels, spectacular scenery and activities that were quite honestly sensational.
