A week allows you to visit one or two key destinations, for example, combining Bogotá or Medellín with the Caribbean coast in Cartagena or the Rosario Islands. Ideally, allow 10 to 14 days to experience Colombia’s diversity without rushing. With more time, you could include the Coffee Region, jungle trekking or even lesser-known spots like Barichara or Palomino. Internal flights are common and often necessary due to Colombia’s mountainous geography.
Colombia pairs well with several neighbouring or nearby countries. It combines naturally with Peru or Ecuador, especially for travellers looking to experience both Andean culture and Amazonian nature. Colombia can also be part of a broader South America itinerary alongside Brazil, Bolivia or Costa Rica, depending on flight routes.
