Chobe National Park

In northern Chobe National Park, the landscape shifts between lush floodplains, dense woodland, and the life-giving Chobe River, creating one of Africa’s most wildlife-rich ecosystems. The park is best known for its extraordinary elephant population, among the largest on the continent, with herds often seen gathering along the riverbanks, especially in the dry season, in scenes of remarkable scale and intimacy.

It is characterized by the enigmatic Savuti Channel which flows and dries independently of rainfall, alongside vast marshlands, ancient baobabs, and rocky Gubatsa Hills. Savuti is famous for lion prides that have learned to hunt elephants, along with significant populations of spotted hyena, cheetah and African wild dog.
